HTTP/2 Rapid Reset Vulnerability, CVE-2023-44487

There has been a reported increase in HTTP/2 'Rapid Reset' Distributed Denial of Service attacks. On October 10, 2023, Google reported a record-breaking peak exceeding 398 million requests per second.

While this DDoS attack may continue to expand and target various internet services, we want to inform our customers that Tamr Cloud services and Tamr Core hosted by Tamr are protected from the attack by Cloudflare DDoS protection

For customers that are self-hosting Tamr in their environments, we strongly recommend remediating this vulnerability in NGINX by upgrading it to the latest version as soon as it is available. NGIX security advisory can be found here.

If you have any follow-up questions please reach out to your customer success team or security@tamr.com
